Attention There Is A Change In Command In The Lake County Animal Control! Please Share!!

If you haven't already heard Department Head Greg Welstead has retired as of last Monday. Margarie Boyd has resigned and we were informed her last day is this Friday April 5, 2013. The county has assigned Jim Stivender as the Department Head and they have published the vacancy position for the Director of the shelter.
This means change is coming. We need every-ones support more now than ever. This is the citizens shelter and we need to have a voice in how things are run. There is a Board of County Commission meeting Tuesday April 9 at 09:00am. We need everyone to show up to this meeting and show the commissioners how many citizens really are concerned about how the shelter is run. At this time we are not planning on discussing anything particular at the meeting. We just feel like since all of this has come down that the commissioners need to now that there is a large support of citizens willing to volunteer and support the operations of our county shelter.

Please get all your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to show up too. We are asking everyone to wear a orange shirt so we can stand out as a group. If you don't have orange that's OK we will put you in the middle of the pile.
